Welcome to Clear Mind Therapy
My name is Cherie and I am a fully qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and a full member of the BACP.
I aim to provide a safe, empathic and non-judgemental environment in which people can talk about whatever they want, explore their experiences, discuss their problems and difficulties, decide what they want to change, and consider how to cope with what they can’t change.
I have experience in working within a simple talking and listening therapy if that is what you need and prefer.
I offer an initial assessment on Zoom (Initial Assessment £40 for individuals and £45 for couples) giving you the opportunity to meet me and establish if I’m the right counsellor for you! Or you can meet in person at my therapy room at The Well in Bridgend.

About Me
What I do!
My approach is based upon person-centred integrating Transactional Analysis (TA) and Gestalt. It is ideally suited to both short-term solution-focused counselling, as well as longer-term more exploratory psychotherapy. Therefore I can help you through your episodes of trauma and help to facilitate your long-term emotional well-being.
I have successfully achieved a Diploma in “End of Life Therapy”.
Covid-19 has changed our lives. The pandemic created challenges that required innovative solutions. I now provide Counselling throughout the UK via online and telephone Counselling.
If you prefer, you can meet me in person at The Well in Bridgend or at 19 Commercial Street in Maesteg where I provide a face-to-face counselling service to meet your therapeutic needs.

How do YOU start your counselling journey?
1. You talk. And I listen.
Firstly, well done for taking that first step on your counselling journey. I know that seeking help is not always easy, whatever the issue. With years of experience in the world of talking therapies, I want to offer you the help and support you need.
Genuine, targeted help from a friendly, passionate, professional Counsellor. I am here to listen.
2. If it’s your concern, it’s a shared concern.
From relationship to marital matters, from self-esteem to self-harm – no issue is too small or too large for me to take on and resolve.
If it’s a concern to you (and it must be, otherwise, you wouldn’t be here), it is my concern too. Even if your issue doesn’t fall neatly into a ‘category’ – I can create one specifically around your situation.
3. NOW is the time to get in touch.
You’ve finally found me – that’s the first hurdle. The next is simply getting in touch. From a short phone conversation, I will work with you to establish your therapy goals.
As a professionally qualified, personable person, I’ll help you through your issue in the strictest confidence.

I am completely new to counselling and for someone not knowing what to expect, I found Cherie who I immediately felt very at ease with in the first few minutes of my session. Cherie has been so understanding, thoughtful and has given me such insight as to help me understand my feeling and emotions. Her advice has been amazing and I would recommend her to anyone. I have felt such a difference already in my mental health and it’s only been three sessions, she has helped me tremendously.
