Counselling in South Wales

I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Our sessions are held via telephone or online platforms like Zoom. Our face-to-face therapy sessions are based in Maesteg, South Wales.

For many people, the idea of speaking to a therapist can be intimidating or even frightening. Essentially professional counselling and psychotherapy is a conversation in a safe environment with a trained listener who can help you, as a couple or an individual, explore the troubling areas that have brought you to therapy.

I have a wide range of experience working with many problems, for example, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, stress, and addiction. You don’t need to start with a clear idea of what the issue is, you might be unsure. I can help you explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and how you are experiencing your life right now, and when appropriate look at pain from the past and how you would like to shape your future.

Our work can be tailored to a short-term solution-focused approach or a longer-term deep psychological one, depending on your needs. The client’s interests are at the heart of all our therapeutic work. I provide a safe, confidential environment for you to explore, with the support you need from a professional, qualified and experienced therapist.

My counselling therapy is available to anyone over 16, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. It involves meeting with a therapist for a session in a safe therapeutic setting (currently either online or by telephone) which lasts for 50 minutes. The number of sessions will vary depending on your particular needs.
